Burnout Dominator is not just a racing game; it is a journey filled with challenges and excitement, where you must become the ultimate dominator of races across various environments and winding roads around the world. Here, victory is not simply about crossing the finish line first but about the amount of chaos you leave behind.

In this installment, the game follows a race series system where players must excel in each series to achieve total domination. The races are divided into seven different groups, each representing a specific class of cars, ranging from classic cars that require skilled driving to high-speed vehicles that demand extreme precision in control. The goal is simple: crush your rivals, unleash maximum speed, and execute an uninterrupted burnout chain. Although the game does not feature a traditional narrative, its atmosphere tells the story of an extraordinary race, where you find yourself in fierce battles not just against time but against other racers and even the laws of physics. Every race is a new test, and every crash is a reminder that the road does not forgive the weak.

The game offers an unparalleled racing experience, combining aggressive driving, extreme speed, and smart tactics. However, the core focus is on the continuous burnout system, a mechanic that allows you to charge your boost and unleash it all at once for insane speeds. The challenge lies in keeping the meter full through risky driving, enabling consecutive boosts without interruption. But do not think it is easy—if you want to dominate the races, you must adopt a reckless driving style, where side collisions, deadly drifts, and last-second evasions all play a crucial role in increasing your boost bar. Still, be cautious; every move carries risks, and veering off the track or making the wrong crash could cost you everything.

The game features a variety of exciting modes, including Race Mode, the traditional race where the main objective is to reach the finish line first. There is also Road Rage, which requires you to take down as many opponents as possible by forcing them off the road. For an added challenge, the game introduces Eliminator mode, where you must survive until the end to become the last racer standing. Although Traffic Attack mode is no longer available, do not worry—Dominator offers a fantastic alternative with Maniac Mode. In this wild mode, you are rewarded for dangerous and reckless driving, earning extra points for performing daring maneuvers such as driving against traffic and executing intense drifts. The tracks themselves feature long, wide turns that allow for massive drifts stretching hundreds or even thousands of feet, bringing back the adrenaline rush that defined the early games in the series.

If you are a fan of Burnout Revenge, you will likely notice the significant evolution in this game. So, what has changed? Visually, Burnout Dominator looks fantastic, allowing you to see realistic car damage during crashes, with expertly designed tracks that enhance immersion. Additionally, the burnout chain system, absent since Burnout 2: Point of Impact, has been reintroduced, bringing back the challenge of maintaining continuous boosts. As for multiplayer, the PSP version of Dominator supports up to six players via Ad-Hoc connection, successfully adding a true competitive element to the game. You can challenge your friends in epic showdowns on the track. Despite these changes, the game retains the essence of Burnout, making it unique—the extreme speed, aggressive driving, and explosive crashes that make you feel like you are in a real action movie.
