Wipeout Pulse takes you into a world of absolute speed and a distant future where the FX400 championship begins, throwing us into a race unlike anything humanity has ever known. Here, there’s no place for traditional engines or limits to ground tracks—everything moves at the speed of light through deadly curves and slopes that push you to face the impossible. These aren’t just races, they are battles in the heart of space where the nerves and control of the racers are tested to the extreme as they pilot anti-gravity vehicles flying over tracks as if rejecting the laws of physics. The year is 2207, ten years after the FX300 championship, when the competing teams decided to take the rivalry to an entirely new level.
Racing teams developed anti-gravity vehicles to be faster, stronger, and more destructive than ever before. These races are no longer about just showing speed—they have become battlefields where racers depend on weapons and tactics to stay in the lead. Each team has its own strategy, and every racer knows that a single mistake could mean the destruction of their craft and the end of their dream of glory. On the track, it doesn’t matter who you are or what planet you’re from; what matters is your skill, speed, and ability to maneuver through a storm of missiles and explosions. Some race for fame, others race to survive—but the goal is the same: reach the finish line, no matter the cost.

If you think regular races are enough to get your adrenaline going, get ready to redefine your understanding of speed in this game that pushes you to your limits. You control an anti-gravity vehicle at insane speeds on futuristic tracks, navigating sharp turns and impossible jumps, while trying to stay ahead in a battle without mercy. As in its predecessor, the game revolves around competition in the FX400 anti-gravity racing championship, where players control anti-gravity ships belonging to racing companies known in the game as teams. There are eight teams in total, each with one available ship—though later you can customize your ship’s appearance. Each ship has unique specifications and performs differently in terms of handling, speed, acceleration, and shield strength depending on the chosen team.
The vehicles are equipped with offensive and defensive weapons, giving the races an intense combat feel. You have missiles to fire directly at your opponents, bombs to plant and disrupt racers behind you, and a protective shield for moments of defense against sudden attacks. But be careful—every split-second decision could mean the difference between victory and destruction. The game includes a variety of weapons for attacking enemies or defending yourself. Defensive weapons include temporary shields that make the ship invulnerable to damage, in addition to mines and stationary bombs. Offensive weapons range from machine guns and missiles to plasma shots and the devastating quake weapon that sends violent shockwaves damaging all competitors. The game offers different modes for every player—from classic single races to zone races where the vehicle’s speed increases automatically until your reflexes are the only thing keeping you from crashing. The popular Eliminator mode also returns, where the sole objective is to destroy as many opponents as possible before time runs out.
Compared to its predecessor Wipeout Pure, this game doesn’t just offer a similar experience—it elevates everything that worked in the previous version to a whole new level. One of the most important updates is the addition of reversible tracks, allowing each course to be played in two directions, doubling the number of available tracks and adding strategic variety that makes every race a new experience. The artificial intelligence has been redesigned, making opponents more aggressive and capable of using weapons smartly, significantly increasing the challenge. On the other hand, in-game physics have seen noticeable improvements, making the ships interact with the environment more realistically. This makes handling smoother but also raises the skill ceiling for advanced players. Additionally, a vehicle customization feature has been introduced, allowing players to add their personal touch to their ships by choosing colors and designs that reflect their unique style. In short, this game is not just a racing game—it’s a futuristic experience where speed meets danger, power meets skill. Are you ready to defy gravity and race at full speed toward glory?
